This refrigerator is just a little over two years old; and on at least 3 occasions in the last year I have found water in all of the shelving compartments throughout the refrigerator, as well as on the bottom level, underneath the vegetable/fruit bins. I have never been able to figure out where it was coming from - until today. It appears to be leaking down from what I am guessing is the electronic defrost control unit at the back of the very top of the refrigerator. I am only guessing that this is what it is based on the miserable excuse for diagrams of the parts of this appliance. I have included a pic, in the hopes that helps.

What is wrong with this thing? What other information can I offer in order for someone to give me a clue about why it is doing this? Thanks.

Sorry - don't know how I posted this in trash compactor repair. Have posted again where it belongs (refrigerators), and would delete this post, but don't know how.

The part that is dripping is an air vent/housing. It's probably leaking because the drain in the freezer is frozen or plugged up.

The water is coming from frost being melted off the evaporator coils during the defrost cycle. Instead of the water draining down to the drain pan, its going sideways and coming out through the vent housing.

You'll need to figure out why the drain isn't draining and then you'll need to get rid of all the ice that has accumulated in the insulation.

Part number 17 is the part you show in your picture dripping water.

Your model number is missing a few digits. I used this number to look up your refrigerator.
