I have looked at a number of videos and searched but I cannot find a satisfying answer.

The washtub seems to be too loose. It goes out of balance very easily and when you turn the machine off the tub jerks violently, banging into the surrounding structures.

I took the outer housing off the machine expecting to find broken suspension springs, but all the springs seem to be intact, including the counter balance spring. The tub and motor assembly seem to move too easily and too much. Is it possible bad suspension pads and snubbers could allow this condition to occur? Puzzled and needing to get some wash down and hating the laundromat. :confused:

Is the "skate plate" the metal frame that everything is attached to, which rides and slides on the base that basically rests on the floor? That is where the most movement seems to be. If I'm understanding there should be three pads that isolate these two metal frames. And then on the next level up there's a kind of cradle with three more pads. I think the pads in the upper level are okay, But I think the lower pads are missing and the frames are riding metal on metal.

Will I need to get one of those spanner wrenches to get this thing apart to investigate fully?

Perhaps a local app repair joint would rent or loan one if you purchased the pads from them... Just a thought!
Also verify that the plate is in the proper position on the base. The arms of the plate should be evenly on top of the pads of the base.

So I can approach this from the bottom up instead of the top down? Very clever. I will give it a try. Thank you
