Do dishwashers have a sensor that keeps them from starting if the unit is too cold? Never a problem with it in warmer weather but anytime we get a cold snap it doesn't want to start. Running the hot water in the sink doesn't help because the water in the line that tees off doesn't get warmer that way. we have to get a portable space heater and open the door and point it directly into the unit for an hour or so before it'll let us start it.

Apparently this has to do with a cold solder joint or something in the control panel. Left the heater pointed at the control panel instead of inside the dishwasher and in about an hour it was warm enough to start. Apparently my washing machine is suffering the same fate since I had to get the garage up higher than 50 degrees before it would also turn on.
