Hi all. First time poster here. Hoping you could help.

My fridge stopped dispensing water. I tested the water inlet valve with a multimeter and it was dead.

Ordered a replacement and installed:

This fixed the issue. I was proud because I've never done any of this before.

But the hard plastic line from the inlet valve up to the back of the water filter is leaking where it inserts into the valve. I think its called a john guest fitting?

Its one of those you have to use a plastic clip or collet to lock it into place. Its spewing right above where it goes in. Its possible i may have bent the plastic water line a little. Would this cause the leaking? I even put the water line back in the old inlet valve just to make sure the new one wasnt faulty, and sure enough it leaked as well.

As you can see it looks very slightly bent. Would this cause the leak? I'm at a loss as of what to do here other than order a whole new line which are like $150 :(
