Washing machine would not start and door mechanism remained locked. Had repairman replace door locking mechanism and did not correct the issue. He notified me the computer board would need to be replaced but said it was discontinued. Trying to find somewhere to get this part instead of buying a completely new washing machine.

That error code means there is a communications error between the central control board (CCU) and the motor control board (MCU). This might be just faulty connections or one of the two control boards are bad. It may also be a motor beginning to fail (least likely)
First the quick cheap attempt at repair is to check the wiring connection between the CCU and MCU. Also clean those contacts and connections using a connection cleaner. I show an example of this in picture below.
Reassemble and try to run a load.
If this fails then you might have a bad CCU or MCU.
I would try the MCU first and we have it in stock. see part 11 on schematic.
