Hi,

Our LG (Kenmore) front load washer gave the Drain Error mid cycle. We checked drain filter and it was clean. Restarted washer and got code again. Checked drain again, it was clean. This time turned off and back on and ran the Rinse-Spin cycle. Finished but clothes might have been slightly more wet than usual.

We put in next load and after pressing Start the door locked but cycle wouldn't start. Just a humming noise. Tub didn't spin to weigh load and no water sounds.

Tub spins freely by hand.

Is this the rotor/stator? Do both have to be replaced? Something else?

Thanks!

Well, solved it myself. Turned out the drain pump was clogged with gunk. Cleaned it out and the recirculate pump as well and worked fine. Pump might be louder than before so I might have to replace it soon.
