I have a buddy who has a caretaking job. The Garland Commercial stove has been having problems ! No body will come out and fix it ! I guess Garland does NOT support ANY of there commercial stoves in a residential setting ! It says right on there website...clear as day !
Anyhow he stove model is ANS Z83.11B1985. My guess the last part is the year 1985 !
What has been doing for a year or so, is that one of the pilot lights has been spewing soot ! It's the pilot light on the lower right oven, the others seem to be alright !
So much soot when the problem was found the area around it had to be vacuumed up !
The question IS....can a pilot light be cleaned still mounted ? Using maybe carb cleaner or auto brake cleaner ? Is it a safe idea, taking precautions, as in shut gas OFF as well as electric ?
Or just how hard is it to install a new pilot light ??
THANKS, Ted
