We just replaced the rear drum bearing - no problems - I believe we have messed up the door switch. I need to know if the switch was put back together correctly - thanks!!!!!

Here is a parts breakdown
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FDE336RES1 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a wiring diagram for a S2 unit, could not find a S1 diagram
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...df/Webster/131850300.pdf

Cannot say from here if you installed it wrong.

First I would open the door, hold the switch closed and give it a try.
Could be the door is not holding the switch closed properly.
If OK
Check that the unit is getting the correct power 120 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral also 240 volts L1 to L2. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Perhaps try turning the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Best to check it with a meter.
If OK
You will have to open the unit up again and check that both wires are attached.
If OK
Then it would be easiest to get a meter so you can check the various parts in the start circuit.

AGHHH!!! this has just happened to me too! i replaced bearing and now the dryer is dead! i reversed the wires on the door switch and it made no difference. then, the switch fell apart on me! this is a 11 yr old frig electric FDE436RES1. (the bearing job not too bad, btw, thanks guys!) can i somehow bypass the switch to see if that's the problem? could i have bumped/disconnected something messing with the bearing? sigh.
