My bottom freezer is not auto defrosting which means that ice and frost build up and eventually cover the vents which means the fridge doesn't get any cold air.

My method of repair is taking the back off the freezer and melting the ice with a hairdryer. In the summer with the humid air this is like every 3 days. BRUTAL!

A couple of years back I replaced the thermostat and last week finally replaced the defrost coil. Even with the newer parts it still isn't defrosting.

Is there any other control device outside of these two parts which could be faulty? Or rather what is/are the other parts that are faulty and not allowing this process to work.

Any help is appreciated.
