This sounds wierd, I know........If you start the machine, so it starts filling and the water pressure sounds lower then normal, you can guarantee that it is leaking out, as I can also see it running on the floor, on the left side of the machine. If I stop the machine as soon as I hear the low pressure and restart it, the pressure sounds higher and normal and it doesn't leak..........what would make this happen like this? So strange........Thanks for any help you may have!! Brad

thanks! Hi, I sure didn't. Everyone says it would cost more then it's worth.......still trying to decide. These stacks are soooo pricey :)

I don't remember if I succeed in getting every bit of rust off, but I know I tried to, then I patched it. It's been fine since. I think I took off the front and then ran it. The leaking spot was obvious at that point. Just don't put your hand near it when it is spinning. We've had this unit for a long time. We had it in a closet where we used to live and now have it in our basement. I wish we had something with a larger capacity, but it has really served us well. Prior to the recent leaking problem, I was able to fix a dryer problem through the generosity of the knowledgable folks on this forum. good luck!

I had a rust hole in my drum also. I treated the rust with phosphoric acid, then patched it with epoxy putty. That was years ago, so far so good.
