Whirlpool duet front load washer will not start. All lights are functioning and no error code is given. After pressing start, it sounds like it latches and locks, no cycle starts and you can't cancel or power off without cutting the power. I have replaced both the computer control board and the door latch assembly and neither has worked.

Have you gone into diagnostic mode to retrieve any error codes?

F-28 is typically a communications error likely between the CCU and MCU. Many times the error is not a bad CCU or MCU but bad serial wiring connections between the two. This can be caused by corrosion of the wiring ends where they connect to the control boards. It may also be a bad wiring harness (very uncommon).
I have found that simply disconnecting and cleaning the wiring connections will do the trick.
Try this open up the machine and disconnect each wiring connection to the CCU and clean it then reconnect it. I use a product call CRC contact cleaner.

Do the same to all connection the Motor Control Unit. Reassemble the machine and give it a spin.
See if this does the trick. Let us know the outcome.
