The basket/spinner of our washer is holding water. There NO water in the drum. I have completely removed the pump and the water doesn't drain. Again, it's in the basket/spinner, I can hear and feel it sloshing around inside the walls of the basket. How do I get the water to release?? Thanks for the help, greatly appreciated.

Likely the water you hear sloshing around is in the balancing ring at the top of the basket. This is not anything you can or should drain. The system is designed that way. If the water does leak out of the balancing ring you would have to replace it or else the tub may shake out of balance during spin cycle. Again this is normal you needn't worry.

Thanks brobriffin! So this water in the balancing ring, is that self-contained? We're actually gutting the machine for the motor and basket for our farm to turn it into a salad spinner/dryer. We're using a food-grade liner basket within the washing machine basket. So the water in the balancing ring doesn't need to release or cleaned or cycled, right? It's just a permanent, self-contained feature that I don't need to worry about molding or anything?
