Hi everyone!

My stove recently began to click constantly, with the burner strength indicator light always on. Determined to find the issue, we disassembled the front panel, and I was able to find that when fiddling with the wires shown below, the issue would stop, but when they were left to hang freely, it would start up again.

The white part is the light assembly, and I'm not sure what the red part is, but messing with the group of 2 wires is what stopped the issue.

I appreciate any input you all might have!

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

This part is the ignition switch. Unfortunately, I'm not able to find the part number due to the age of your range but it looks to me very similar to one made by Whirlpool. I would recommend to remove the part and take it to a local appliance parts store. They should be able to match it up.

Good luck.
