My refrigerator has been losing effectiveness for a while now, where at first it just couldn't quite keep things at the temperature I had set it to. To maintain 0 degrees I had to set it to -5 or thereabouts. Last week it just gave up and started warming up. When I first noticed this, the temp in the freezer was 30. Briefly, it recovered and went back down to 18, then it stopped making cold air altogether. After quite a bit of searching for help identifying the cause, it appeared the control board was the most likely culprit, and I ordered one. I installed it last night and this morning, my temperatures are freezer 62 and fridge 70(?!!!). Soooo... Clearly the control board wasn't the problem, or wasn't the whole problem. What do I test on the old board to see if it is fine, and what do I look at next to get my refrigerator working? The fan in the freezer is blowing unchilled air. I think the fan sounds are all I am hearing, but I'm not positive. Any guidance would be immensely appreciated!
Thanks, David Vickoren
