The washer stopped mid wash and would not restart. There is standing water in the tub. Resetting the cycle, unplugging it
did not work. Any ideas?

Hi Brian

The first thing I would check is the lid switch (#3 on the top parts break down diagram).

- The part number for the lid switch is AP3159413

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag washer Model MAV7200AWW

Thanks Gene. That was it. Fixed it for $20 and about an hour of work time.
