The ice maker in my Trio has stopped working. It was working fine yesterday morning. It started making a grinding noise and has not made any ice in 24 hours. It doesn't appear that it's a case of ice getting stuck in the mechanism. It actually doesn't look like there isn't ice in the ice maker. Water is coming out fine from the dispenser in the refrigerator so I don't think it's the filter. The temperature in. It's the freezer and refrigerator are fine. The grinding persists even when the arm of the ice maker is up (to stop ice production). I tried a hairdryer on the ice maker as well as the tubing behind the crisper tray in the fridge in case water in the line was frozen.
Thoughts on what it can be and how do I stop the grinding noise until I can get it fixed?
Thanks!

You could remove the icemaher or you could pull the motor module if it looks like the one below. Just take out the three screws (one upper left, one upper right, and the other bottom right) and you should be able to pull the module straight out. You just need to pull the bail out the other way (thats the part that senses the ice level) its a stiff wire with a couple of bends in it. This is the replacement icemaker.
