18 years old. Has worked flawlessly. A few months ago, noticed some ice buildup in lower left side of freezer area and on gasket in that area. It is the side that is opposite the hinged side.

Bought a replacement gasket and installed it. Same problem. Replaced that gasket and same problem.

I have done my share of blow drying, vaseline applications, and still the problem.

That it is in that one area makes me think the seal is still bad, but I need other ideas at this point.

Thanks

Anyone have some thoughts on this? Thanks. I would hate to get a new frig when I didn't need to

Could you post pictures of the seal and the door in the area where its leaking or frosting up.

Its kind of hard to imagine what is going on just from the description.

I wonder about the door liner pulling away from the door or if the magnetic seal is finding enough metal to pull it in and seal it. Pictures might help.

You may have to host them somewhere else and link to them. That is what I do.
