A few weeks ago, my dishwasher stopped draining. I did some basic cleaning/maintenance (cleaning the basket, checking the drain hose, etc). When that didn't help, I removed the kick plate and noticed that the drain solenoid plunger wouldn't move--it's stuck in the up position. I ordered a replacement and tried to switch it out today following the instructions in this video. I was able to remove the spring, the retaining clip, and the screws that mount the bracket in place, but the drain arm and plunger won't budge, so I can't get anything else out. Now I'm wondering whether the problem is actually with the solenoid or if the pump or some other part is bad. Any advice? I can provide pictures if needed. Thanks!
