My freezer and fridge won't cool down. I have cleaned the coils by compressor and the compressor runs. All the fans run. But there was a bunch of ice behind panel in freezer over evaporator coils. I shut it off and let it defrost over night. Plugged back in and now the top of the first part of coils freeze but still won't get cold. Any suggestions? thanks for the help in advance!!

You're probably low on freon. That means there is a leak/leaks somewhere. Does it kind of look like this?

Probably.
Unless you can find and seal the leak, then refill the system with the correct kind and amount of Freon, its probably done for.
Sorry its not better news.
