the dryer only partial heats - so takes long time to dry. Vens and trap are clean, and unit gets plenty of air. Wondering if there is a fuse to replace in unit? thanks,

I would check and make sure the dryer is getting 220 to 240 volts and I would check the heating element.
Sometimes they burn in two and short to the shell. Which means they just get warm.

hey thanks -- assuming I use a voltmeter to check 220v (advice on how to? I know, stick the probes in the socket? no danger?) is the heating element easy to spot, visible damage? much thanks - as you can tell I'm no sparky.

great advice -- looks like I've been using the tester right so far. And does the serial# indicate year of manufacture? (#20112000616-..., built in 2011?) much thanks for the expert advice! mas
