My freezer evaporator is icing up. I have checked the heater element and that looks good. I have not checked the thermostat yet but will be doing soon. The system on here has a control board to operate the heater cycle.

1. Does anyone know how to initiate this cycle manually?

Oh and I have used a thermocouple temperature measuring device to check and see if it is cycling. It is not.

I talked to Whirlpool and they have a repair person coming Friday. They are covering all parts and labor.
