The fan in my Kitchen Aid runs almost continuously. I'm not sure if it's the evaporator fan or the condenser fan. I say "almost" because it will turn off for about half a second, but then immediately turns on again. The cycle time varies from less than 10 seconds to over 2 minutes. But except for these half-second interruptions, it basically runs 24 hours a day.
Other than that, the refrigerator seems to be operating fine. Freezer and refrigerator temperatures are maintained at the suggested 0 and 37 degrees (at least according to the panel displays).
Any help in diagnosing what's going on, and/or what part(s) are failing would be appreciated.
Many thanks!

If the compressor in the back will not allways run then you probably have a bad control module 2316545

Part 2316545 is showing up as the Control Box which has the touch panel. Is that what you meant?? Doesn't sound right.
Also, wouldn't the refrigerator get too cold if the compressor itself was running constantly? I listened more carefully, and it sounds like my problem is the evaporator fan behind the freezer compartment.

Check the schematic behind the front kick panel, will probbly show the control is the only thing supplying power to the evaporator fan motor.

I know this is an old thread, but the problem is probably a relay on the control board. I'm posting this to help others who have run into this problem and find this post. Replace the board for a couple of hundred dollars, or fix it yourself for under $20. A full explanation on how to do this can be found on the following ink. How to Fix a Whirlpool & KitchenAid W10219463 / 2307028 Control Board for $6
