This range hood is so powerful and loud we rarely use it. Could it be that the speed control is not modulating down to its slowest setting. I did read that the problem could be the motor is worn and that the tell tale sign would be a loose shaft. the shaft only has play when pushing of pulling on it and not when wiggling it. Can I put in a different speed modulator switch that slows the fan speed down lower.
