Ice does not dispense every time. The ice chute door opens, but no auger. The auger motor works, sometimes, and tested good. I have replaced the ice door solenoid and the ice chute flapper, and they are working. All other functions of the "interface dispenser asm" appear operational. The dispenser switch tested good. The freezer door switch appears good. Are these symptoms indicative of failure of just the ice dispenser control switches in the dispenser interface asm? Does the dispenser interface asm require replacement, or should I be checking elsewhere? Your help is appreciated.

Best guess without some more testing would be the micro switch not working every time. Ohm it out, open and close the switch several times, try it after it sits a while, see if you can get it to stick basically. If it checks out ok a bunch of times, we can dig further. If it's bad, here's the part... GE WR23X10783 Dispenser Switch - AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you for the quick reply.
Tested switch and it tests good. Ice dispensed several times but would either quit mid-stream or not activate.
Next step?

Try to get it opened up and test the auger motor for power. It could be that the motor is going bad. Take it apart enough to get meter leads on the motor, tape the door switch down and see if you have current supplied to the motor. If you do, then it needs a new motor. If you don't, check all the wiring and plugs to be sure everything is connected well. I believe the switch I told you to check last time goes thru the user interface board. Confirm that and if it does, and the motor has no power, replace it.

What was the problem? Might help somebody else with the same issue someday.
