My fan went out and the fuse blew... I purchased new fuses and a used fan from ********. While installing the new items, I arched/ sparked the fuse by contacting metal. I replaced the fuse once again and got an error code of 0800. The fan no longer worked. I couldn't find info on this error code so I replaced the board since the board number read 0800....
Every thing seemed to be working on the new board but the fan and the lights won't come back on. I tested the voltage on all clips and they read 120v except the the blue clip on the mother board and each pin is only reading 4.5 volts. Turning the oven on does not increase this. The lights seemed to be working off the same blue clip and are not getting any power. The fan is getting power.
This is a brand new board from appliance parts depot in houston. I would say that it is just the fan but why then are the lights not getting power?

The main control board is responsible for both the fan and the light. The fan should be On only if the oven is in cooking mode while the light should be On if the oven door is open or the light button is depressed.
If any of them would not work, the main control board is defective even if it's new.
If this is the issue and the part number of the board you purchased is w10741603, the store you purchased it from would have to replace it under the part warranty. If the part number is different then whoever did the part search for you is responsible.

Sorry for the delay. The other cause of the problem could be a faulty door switch. If you still having the problem, perform the following steps to enter the Diagnostics Mode.
1. Enter Diagnostics Mode by pressing CANCEL>CANCEL>START. 2. If the control does not enter Diagnostics, repeat Step 1.
After entering the Diagnostics Mode, the display will indicate the following: ■ “Test On.” ■ Oven sensor temperature reading. ■ The status of the latch and door switches as follows:
Two leftmost digits of clock display Latch Switch Door Switch U0 Unlocked Closed U1 Unlocked Open L0 Locked Closed L1 Locked Open
Press CANCEL to exit and post the results.

Remove the power to the oven and access the main control board. Using a multimeter, check for continuity with the door open and closed between pins P7-4 to P7-5. It should read: Door open = infinite resistance, door closed = zero resistance. The door switch comes as a part of the door latch assembly. That's why if any of the readings is not correct, the whole door latch assembly would need to be replaced. The door latch assembly Part number: AP6027507
Post the results please. Gene.
