Hi guys. I have a GE PSC25SGSc model. actually I'm auto mechanic and working with cars AC systems but here as noob. Everything was good until freon came out. I found where was leak, fixed vacuumed and charged freon. In manual says: 1)refrigerant charge__________5 ounces 2)minimum equalized pressure 90F __52 PSI. Question, 52 PSI must be when Ac compressor is off, correct? I added 5 ounces of 134a but pressure was 35 PSI(compressor is off), then turned unit on. Checked low pressure. Low pressure was 10 PSI. Now I have: Freezer section 20F Fresh food section 42F. Adjusted to 0F/34F Please let me know what I did wrong. Thank you very much. Mark P.S. Then I called to appliance parts and explained my problem, they told me I have to change temperature sensors and thermostat def. I changed all 3 temperature sensors and thermostat def. But I have same thing: 20F/42F

Hi Fishlover,
Can you please describe more detailed how did you charge the system? Did the compressor run at this time? Did you use the low or high side to charge? Did you charge liquid or gas 134A? Can you measure the pressure on the low side while the compressor is running? If you can, what is the result?
Thank you.

Hi Gene. Actually I charged twice.
1st time I charged when power was off. Charged exactly 5 ounces as in manual says, I used low side. Then turned refrigerator on and after a few seconds fan and compressor started to run. Low pressure was 10 PSI while the compressor is running.
2nd time I charged when power was on. AC system was empty( I don't remember if compressor and fan worked before I added Freon),during Freon filling I saw compressor and fan worked. I used low side and stopped to add Freon when low pressure reached to 20 PSI.((I found on some forum where people speak, low pressure should be 15-20 PSI for any refrigerator) Low pressure was 20 PSI while the compressor is working. Both times I vacuumed. I used 134A small can 12 oz When I charged Freon I turned the can upside down. It's mean I charge liquid? Each time result was the same. Temperature in freezer section went down to 20F, in fresh food section to 42F. (adjustment was 0F/34F) Each time when refrigerator reach temperature to 20F/42F compressor and fan, stop running then a few minutes later start to run then stop, then on/off on/off. Looks like refrigerator maintains temperature is 20 F/42F but must be 0 F/34F Thank you.

Did you measure the temperature inside the refrigerator and freezer or it was shown on the display?
Can you please check the low side pressure while the compressor is running?
