Good morning!

I am an amateur DIY, and have successfully repaired my Whirlpool washer several times. So....

I looked up various videos on YouTube to see how to clean out my clogged dishwasher. However the motor seems to be much different than everything else out there...

I removed the pump outlet (14) and underneath THAT is the screw for the wash impeller (12) and the impeller disk (11). First of all, I cannot even get that screw off. Even if I did, it seems that this screw goes all the way down into the motor - and then a motor centering tool (31) would be is required?

Am I missing something? Do I need to remove the entire motor to clean it? The only other model specific video I found explains how to replace the motor, not how to clean it.

The bottom of the dishwasher is filled with dirty water and large particles floating around in it. I can run a cycle but at the end the water is "still there". How can I clean out whatever junk is underneath that filter/motor?

I actually cleaned out the air gap a few weeks ago and removed a lot of grease buildup from the hose that led from the air gap into the garbage disposal.

I found the instructions for getting to the check valve - when I disconnected the drain hose, water came pouring out the check valve and emptied the dishwasher. So I surmised it was not the check valve but a hose obstruction. I used a wet/dry vac to apply suction to the hose and heard something slurp into the bucket, followed by some odor. I then ran a complete cycle and the water drained correctly.

Should I still remove the check valve and check behind for debris? There are still little chunks and flakes on the walls etc.
