Repairman ran diagnostic mode and said it was the User Interface. Quoted $500 to repair and told me it's time to get a new machine. Any second opinions?

However this item is out of stock and on back order from whirlpool. You can find factory refurbished units on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-...mp;condition=refurbished for a little over $100.00 If your handy there are several videos to show proper installation. Saving you $400 The part number you need is WP8181905 or 8181905 or 8181905R if you would like to google it for yourself.
