I have an Amana LG8123WM gas dryer that will not start after the initial cycle. The dryer will run for one load but when I try to restart it for the second load I hear a buzzing sound. I replaced the timer and still have the same problem. Could the problem be the thermostat?

more than likely the buzzing was coming from the motor ... if you have a helper , have someone depress the start button on the control panel and you can put your hand in the drum and depress the door switch and then push the baffle of the drum ( i think it is clockwise ), if the motor starts, it was a bad motor or if it seems very difficult to turn the drum, the motor is bad ..
