Folks, I was having the E68 error and replaced the thermistor in hopes that was the problem (resistance tested just slightly high), but immediately after replacing it, I was still receiving the E68 error. I was able to track down a thread in another forum which advised adding a resistor to the control board. I did the fix, and no error at all for 3+ weeks. Instead of hundreds on a new control board, I used about $1 in parts (if that) from my junk box and about 20m to do the fix. Even if you don't have the equipment, it might be worth bringing the control board and a printout of the repair instructions to a repair shop and have them pop on a resistor. https://getsatisfaction.com/frig...ics/frigidaire_dryer_e68Good luck!

I have error code e68 as well, heat is fine, plug is secure,
I have to unplug it for the code and beeping to stop. I can hear each button click so no sticking,... It'll dry for like 5 minutes then signal err with no number then shuts off with e68 code. I'm having to just stand here and hit the start button every time to get clothes dried... I've done the reset, did not work... Please help

Doitallmom -- take a look at the thread at getsatisfaction.com which I linked to a few posts above. If your dryer is the same or similar enough to the one that's mentioned in the thread, I highly recommend you do the fix (or find someone to do it for you). It's a $.10 resistor and a minute or two of work. It's been over a year and a half, and I haven't had the problem since I did the fix. Good luck!

In the middle of the night last night our dryer started beeping and blinking e68. I tried to push various buttons but it continued to beep. So I turned the power off to the dryer. When I turned it back on this am, it fixed itself. No more beeping or blinking. Any thoughts why?

Unplugging it and letting it sit for a few hours silenced it... but it came back anywhere from a few minutes to a few days later. This went on for weeks until I finally found and applied this fix. It's been two and a half years, and I haven't had the error since!

ACKgirl, The E68n error code is an indication that there is a stuck button, but that is seldom the case. It usually requires replacement of the control board to solve the issue. If you know an electrician with process board experience, you may want to have him attempt the resistor repair mentioned in the previous posts. Check and make sure you don't have a stuck button, then replace or repair the control board. Good Luck and Thanks,
