"Normal" and "High Temp Scrub" lights do not work; machine does not start.
Pressing any options 1-2-3 starts what I think maybe a reset.
All the control panel lights blink on but "Normal" and "High Temp Scrub" stay off.
Machine seems to go through a mini-cycle.
But "Normal" and "High Temp Scrub" still don't work and machine won't start.
Is there a different reset sequence?
Could this be a latch issue?
I don't see the control panel as a separate item.
Or control board?

I disassembled and clean the board. Reset some of the cables. No burns or visibly bad caps. On reassembly, the "Heavy Duty" and "Cancel" buttons also are no longer working. Progress!?
The control bezel is way to pricey to replace were that the issue.
Does this sound like the main board now or ???
Thanks for any ideas.

OK! I tried again and the "Normal" and "Start" buttons lite up. Washer now in wash cycle. Blue lights for "Normal" and "Start" go off at times, flicker back on. I think this rules out the touch pad per se. I suspect bad cabling as opposed to the motherboard.
Anyone like to comment?

I checked the cable for continuity. All good.
On reassembly. the "cancel" and "heavy duty" buttons no longer function and the machine wants to go into a rinse cycle. Only a rinse cycle.
This seems like an oddly partial motherboard failure. Before I shell out for a motherboard, would someone confirm that a motherboard might fail this way: some options just not responding?
Thanks.

I plugged the control panel directly into the motherboard and all controls work. Ribbon cable must be dodgey. My soldering skills are not up to using wire to repair because of the thin plastic. I will get a new cable.

Keiser, also get some electrical contact cleaner, or rubbing alcohol, clean the connectors where the ribbon plugs into the control board and keypad assembly. then use some di electric grease and apply a thin coat around the connector where the ribbon plugs into the connectors, this will help keep moisture and debris from getting into the connector and causing the problem again.
