My Panasonic Inverter NN-S543BF started acting up yesterday. When I start a cook cycle I can hear either the magnetron or inverter make the typical microwave "hrmmmm" noise, but it will only do it for a couple of seconds and then stop. It attempts this two or three times and then aborts the cycle.
Checked the three door switches and they all seem to be working properly.
I can get a new magnetron for $30 locally but don't want to go out of my way to get it if the inverter is the problem.
Thanks

Silly me, I didn't realize before I joined that 99% of the questions here go unanswered.
Hello, hello, hello, echo, echo ,echo.....
Anyway, took the chance on the new magnetron and all is well in microwave land again.
Thanks!
