I bought my first washer today and I overlooked removing the foam shipping base before I started it up. I didn't realize it until about 20 min of it not working properly.

What are the chances that the machine is now damaged?

Its a Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer.

Hard to say, haven't ever come across this problem but if it does not work right see if Whirlpool will honor the warranty
