I am trying to disconnect the spade connectors to replace the lower bake element. I think the female terminal connector is locking the spade end. I am a newbie and have no idea how to separate them! Thank you for any input.

I do not think it is locked onto the element but since I cannot find a picture of the connector I cannot be 100% sure.

Sometimes the connectors are very tight.
Grab the male connector or the wire coming out of the element. Then using a flat screw driver between the pliers and the connector twist it to wedge/force the connector off.

Be sure to remove power from the unit when doing this as many units still have power on one side of the element even when it is off.

Also clip something (clothespin etc.) onto the wire so that it does not disappear into the back of the oven.
