Refrigerator and freezer stopped working after storm. Neither compressor nor fans work but lights do work. I tested the compressor with a multi-meter and it tests OK. I moved to defrost board, replaced defrost board but not change. Is there something else I can test?

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool GD27DIXHW00 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. It is not a very good copy. I have also attached a wiring diagram from another source. It should be easier to read. I think it is a close match to your unit. You could try moving the contol thermostat up/down a bit to see if the unit will fire up. If not. Unplug the unit and short the two thermostat wires together. Making sure that they cannot short to anything else. then plug it in and see if it fires up. Also hw long did you wait. Give it at least half an hour. Perhaps it is in a defrost cycle which usually lasts about half an hour. Check that the defrost board is getting power. It should have120 volts between White and black. There is always the possibility that you received a bad board. |
