I have a Whirlpool model ed5phexrb00 and the ice machine stopped making ice about a week ago. I took a look at the tubing behind the fridge that leads into the ice maker. About 3 inches from where the tube attaches to the back of the freezer, there is liquid water backed up-- and that water fills the tube all the way down to the bottom of the unit. At the base (inside the back bottom) of the fridge/freezer, the tubing attaches to what I can only guess is a compressor. Then from there I can't see where it goes. My thought is that something is broken and not pushing the water up the tube and into the icemaker. Nothing down below is frigid, and the water dispenser works just fine. No leaks or anything. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

See if you can check the fill tube just behind the ice maker where the water come in. It may be stopped up with ice because the water inlet valve is leaking. If it is stopped up, take it out and melt it and disconnect the water line on the back at the bottom where it goes into the water inlet valve (blue) to see if it is dripping there. even a slow drip will cause this.

Is the temp between 5 and 10 degrees?
Is there water in the ice mold? If not put some and see if it dumps and refills with water.
If not getting water, swap the wires on the water inlet valve and see if it gets water when you try the water dispenser lever.
