One of my dryer baffles fell off. I viewed the video and it looks easy to fix. I have 2 questions: First, do I need a NEW baffle or can I just get new screws and reattach the old one? Second, do I even need to fix this? what's the downside to leaving the baffle off? Thank you! Your videos have been helpful over the past 2 years! Saved me a lot of money.

I have fixed dryers with loose or damaged baffles but sometimes if the screw holes are stripped out badly the baffle will need to be replaced. Not having a baffle in place is not very efficient for drying the clothes as the clothes roll around in a ball instead of tumbling. Also it will not make much difference in the short term but the drum does have these in place to even things out in terms of rotation to keep things balanced a little bit better. Plastic baffles dont weigh much however but the tumbling action is more important.
