I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher, MN - KUDS301XWH1. A few months ago you helped me determine that I needed a new chopper to get the noise level down. Now I am seeing that the top rack dishes are not getting completely clean. We use Glisten once a month, and I cannot detect any obstructions. Both spray arms rotate freely, manifold fits into the feed tube assembly, connections seem okay. We recently switched from Cascade crystals to gel, and I am going to go back to crystals to see if that changes anything. Any thoughts???

Could well be due to the detergent you are using.
In spite of all the advertising I still think powder is the best.
My feeling is that they make a higher profit margin on liquids and gel caps.

May also be due to a low water fill.
As a test you could add hot water after each fill in a cycle.
Just be careful to not overfill it.
If the dishes come out clean then it may be a partially clogged filter screen or a bad water fill valve.

The screen filter is on the input side of the water valve, check it for a partial plug. If dirty clean it. Do not permanently remove it from the valve as it is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood.

Thank you. Running a load as we speak with crystals. If no change, I will get into the Screen filter. Will post results when I am done. After previous repairs, I am starting to get real intimate with this machine.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what a clogged chopper filter looks like. I'm no rocket scientist, but this may well have an effect on how much water makes its way to my top rack.
