Hi,

Saw the recommendation of open the back of washer and watch if it is a shock. Have had this problem for a while and want to know if the bearing can be checked and how? Can't see spending money on shocks to find out the bearing is shot and have to replace washer?

Thanks for the advise!

This machine is actually a Frigidaire masquerading as a GE. If the bearing were bad you would hear a roar on the spin cycle so it is probably a broker support strut or possibly the concrete counter weight has come loose. If you buy the replacement parts from this site and they do not fix the problem you can return them.
