Thank you for sharing your success story with the oven, nice work! As for the dishwasher, I also suspect the control may have been damaged with the short given the now erratic operation. The correct control for your model is available at the link below. Bosch 00676967 Control Unit - AppliancePartsPros.com

Our DCS SC305 range is exhibiting the same symptom: very slow to heat up. I note the suggestion of a generic Frigidaire part number 5303935067 ( Frigidaire 5303935067 Oven Igniter - AppliancePartsPros.com) as a replacement for the original DCS part (211541 or 211541P). However, I note elsewhere, particularly at sites selling the OEM igniter, that one should not replace it with a generic part: "IMPORTANT NOTE! DO NOT USE GENERIC REPLACEMENT IGNITORS FOR DCS PRODUCTS! USE ONLY GENUINE FACTORY REPLACEMENTS! THE RESISTANCE VALUE OF THESE IGNITORS IS DIFFERENT THAN COMMON OVEN IGNITORS." Is there any validity to this, or are the OEM sellers merely trying to justify their high prices (roughly $80–$90 vs. $28 for the generic)?
