I have searched in vain for a simple replacement gasket for the door bottom of our GE Monogram dishwasher. Ours has a split in the middle and it is leaking. From the parts schematics, there seems to be no listing for the gasket alone. One site is telling me that the entire inner panel has to be purchased for > $200. This seems ridiculous. Can someone point me to a replacement part, or even suggest a way of repairing the gasket (i know that sounds like a bad idea).

Below is the part, click on the picture for more info about it. The Q&A does say that the seal is not available as a separate item. Part number: AP3794401
Looking at the picture it does seem that there is an opening in the center of the door so perhaps this is not your problem. As far as a jiggery pokery fix I cannot see the seal or how it is attached to give you a suggestion. |

Thanks for the confirmation. I too saw what might have been a gap in the gasket in the panel picture you posted. Zooming in as much as possible, i was skeptical that was a gap, but I cannot explain it otherwise. Just seems like that would be a bad design to have a split in the gasket. But our split is roughly in the middle.
