It seems like the washer is not filling quite as high as it should before starting the wash cycle. We have the fill selector set to maximum.

Is there a measurement spec from the top or from the bottom of the tub to determine what the correct specification for the maximum filling level is for this specific machine?

Thanks!

Try replacing the water level switch. And do not leave the machine operating un-attended. If that switch is faulty it could fail and the machine could not stop filling and you could have a very destructive flood.
