Model: JGS8850ADW Serial: 21296620GL Research seems to indicate a bad control board or temp sensor. Help narrowing this down to the correct replacement parts to resolve the error code would be appreciated. Thanks Jerid

See 4, 5 and 22 in the below link. http://www.applianceaid.com/gas-range-repair-help.php Check that the wire harness to the sensor is OK. Check that the connector on the board is OK. If all OK then odds are that it is the control board.

The control board looks expensive so I do not know if I would put those dollars into this unit. Unless you really like the unit and it is in very good shape. On thing is that if you get the board from AppliancePartsPros and it does not fix your problem you can return it. Please see their return policy.

Yes, the control board is a bit pricey however a new range/oven is not really in my budget at this time.. And you know how the story plays out.. new oven range leads to a whole kitchen remodel.. LOL!! Being able to return the part is fantastic.. I'll check out the policy. Thanks again for the help.

It was pretty straight forward to install except for the ribbon connection from the button panel. Took a bit to figure out that the ribbon had no connector on the end and that the ribbon would slip into the connector on the new board and then be clamped shut. Thanks for the help on this denman.
