Hi,

I need your help please. My Whirlpool acts very strange lately. When I turned it on, it runs like normal: fill in water, agitate and drain water out. When it comes to rinse cycle, the agitator or tube won't move at all. At first, I opened the lid and rotate the agitator manually for a couple cycle, close the lid and it starts to rotate and complete that load. I've thought something jammed under the agitator and remove it to take a look. Everything is clean. I assembled every together and start another load. Same thing happened. It stops at the rinse cycle. I rotated the agitator and it worked again. I googled many websites by none of them has similar problem. I appreciate your expertise advice.

Thanks,
PN

If the machine goes through the agitation cycle with no problem then that suggests there is no mechanical problem with the washer and that your problem is in the control unit. Try changing it out and see if that fixes things. If you buy the part from this site and it is not the solution you can return it.

Hi Sidfink43,
I removed the drain valve and let the timer go directly to spin cycle. The problem is the same. The motor spins very fast and the tumbler is slowly to start. If I rotate the agitator for a couple cycles, the spin cycle will start faster.

Thanks,
PN
