While most balance rings are filled with fluid, the one for this unit appears to have a clay/cement ring.
Question is: is there supposed to be fluid in this one, below the clay/cement ring or is it meant to be fluid-less ?

Problem is out of balance spin.
(Springs, damper pads, tub seal and related hdwr replaced.)

the above items were relatively cheap and, other than the springs, would need replacing anyhow..eventually.
The ring is a bit pricier...have to convince the wife its worth it.
thanks
