I have this dishwasher Jenn Air jdb1100aws, last week, it stopped running(When we turn on, the lights on touch pad are on, but when we pressed any one of them, none of them corresponded). I called Sears service and they sent a technician come to check on that. He said the main board is bad and have to replace the new one. I agreed with that and he charged me $375(I have a 20% coupon, therefore it went down to $298). This afternoon, he came to replace that board(he has to order it), after replacing it, the machine is still not working, and he said the door latch is broken, and have to replace it, and it cost $59 more.
I was so mad about that. As I did some researches on part and service, they said if the dishwasher not running, the cause may be of main board, or door latch...Is that weird that both broken at the same time? or the technician misdiagnosed? If he said both are bad, I will buy the new one instead of fixing it.
Any ideas?
PS: The main board is a lot more expensive than door latch.

If it were my business call, I would have admitted I had gotten it wrong with the control board replacement, and just had to eat the cost of the new board or use it later on.
I would have probably tried the door latch first. Most likely he cannot return the board for a refund, but he can use it on another call.
You should probably not be charged for both parts, at least that is how I work.
