I own a LA882 washer that has been a workhorse for the 4 years of ownership. We recently moved, and I didn't balance it correctly. I bought a larger level and got the level spot on, but it didn't help the vibrations. It shakes the entire house when its on spin, so I need to get it fixed. I took it apart with the intention of replacing snubber pads, but all 3 were in great shape. I think the vibration is too extreme for it to be the cause, so I didn't replace them. What else could it be?

I am guessing that something is wrong with the springs on the support structure. I can only suggest that you operate it with the front panel off and see if you can tell where the problem is, but you may not be able to spot it in which case a new machine is in order. Sounds like you got this used, so if you got 4 years out of an older machine I think you did ok.

It's a 1982 model, so I'd say the money out of it is way past.

I took off the front, and didn't notice anything other than the severe shaking. not worth replacing the springs?

Nope, a new machine, just a basic one will be fine and you will be much happier than trying to repair this one.
