Magic Chef MCSTCW21W2 washing machine. At the beginning of the cycle with the lid closed, the lid lock comes out, pauses, retracts, comes out, pauses, retracts, then gives an E6 error code. Mechanically, the lock appears to be acting properly. There’s a switch inside the lock housing that closes when it’s locked. It has pretty high resistance so I jumped it but still got the error code. Could it still be the lid lock or is it time for a new control board?
