Sorry Gene the correct model # is wfk 2401` What is the best way to energize the water inlet valves? Also the service bulletin link to wfk 2401 washer test program that you posted was just brilliant. Thank you so much. Rolf

Gene, I replaced the brushes on my WFK 2401 and I'm still getting an 08 error on the test program and no rotation. Exactly how do I test the motor? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Use the diagrams on the left side scroll down menu after you opened the breakdown diagrams.

I have a WFK 2401 that occasionally presents error code 01. I have measured the coil resistances (4.4k, which is within the spec on the wiring diagram for the machine) and measured the voltages to the three coils (ranges from 20.2 to 20.7), and followed the Test #2 from the test sheet, and of course while I stand there, it works fine.
However, the coil voltage at between 20 and 21 vdc strikes me as unusual (not 12 or 24v). What is the intended voltage for these? I measured across the pins with the coil engergized; I did not measure the plug(s) when disconnected.
Thank you!
Regards,
Dave M

My WFK2401 has been stopping about 4 times during each quick wash cycle, at predictable times, and displaying code 01. "Start" continues the cycle each time and eventually completes. I have tested the OHMs and Voltage at the water inlet valves and they seem to be correct. What I found after opening the top was a control board with some smoked components. The label on the control board enclosure is 280607633 I am trying to attach a photo of the board in case anyone has a component list and has had success repairing one of these boards. http://drive.google.com/a/hatch...NEFRdkE/view?usp=sharing

Thanks Great Thread, seems "Gene" is the man. Same symptons, found components on Power Control Module were burnt out..- heavily carbonized and PCB scorched. Have a new Board ready to install but am reluctant to do so for fear of burning out new $300+ Board. Could worn Motor Brushes Cause this ? Am attaching board picture with scorched area highlighted. Cautious about using Motor tests as posted, as I fear that energizing the motor or attempting to do so may play havoc with the new board, but need new board installed to energise.. Catch 22 ? I too have a Bosch WFK2401 UC. Currently almost fully taken apart as I suspect worn bearings. Grinding / squeaking noise when manually rotating the inner drum, and up/down and in/out play in the inner drum. I thought I had to remove the drum assembly to inspect / replace the bearings (based on youtube videos), but it looks like I can remove the heavy steel spider on the rear of the drum to replace the bearings.
Anyone know if this is correct, and/or the procedure to inspect / replace the bearings (possibly the spindle). Thanks in advance
