Hi All!
New to the forum and I was hoping I could get some help with our Kenmore washer.
Last week my daughter fell onto the door and pushed the door to the ground. We were able to pop it back in but the door is now a little out of alignment.
My wife was able to run a couple of cycles but then none of the front panel buttons worked the next time she tried. I took the front panel off and checked the wiring to the control door, checked the door latch\switches. I could not check the thermal fuse as I didn't have a multimeter. Anyway, I put it back together with the intention of getting a multimeter.
My wife just happened to try it again the next day and it worked again. She was able to complete two cycles and then it returned to not working at all.
Today I worked on it again. The only buttons on the front panel that light up when pressed are high temp, sani rinse and heated dry. It also seemed to run through a 2 minute drain cycle after closing the door.
Not sure if this is related or not but I thought it was worth mentioning. Last month we noticied that the red light above the cancel button seemed to always be on.
Any ideas as to what could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!
Jason

Just wanted to update...
If I press heated dry then high temp then heated dry and then high temp buttons in that order, all of the lights come on. The washer then runs through some sort of check. It completes in a few minutes and then all of the lights stay on.
I was able to press and hold start to get it to complete another full cycle. After the cycle finished, the washer returned to its non working state.

I'm not sure that pushing the door down that way would have any effect on the control panel unless it pulled some wires loose. It may have pushed the door switch/ latch out of alignment to the point that it thinks it's unlatched sometimes.
